JS Fun Event Hire — East London

JS Fun Event Hire is looking for practical, reliable Event Drivers & Fun Ambassadors to join our busy East London team.
This is much more than a driving job. You will load interactive games at our depot, deliver them to venues, set them up safely, welcome guests and help events run smoothly. Our work includes corporate events, exhibitions, brand activations, awards evenings, sports events and private celebrations across London and the UK.
We need people who stay calm under pressure, think on their feet and take pride in giving clients a great experience. You may be working with prize claws, reaction games, basketball machines, arcade games and other interactive equipment. Full equipment training will be provided.
What you will do
- Collect, load and safely transport event games and equipment
- Drive company vans from our East London depot to venues across London and the UK
- Install, test and dismantle equipment safely
- Follow event briefs, delivery instructions and risk assessments
- Troubleshoot straightforward issues on site
- Present games to guests and create a welcoming atmosphere
- Communicate professionally with clients, venues and the operations team
- Return equipment safely and report any damage or problems
- Help with cleaning, preparation and warehouse duties between events
What we are looking for
- A full UK driving licence and eligibility under our motor-insurance requirements
- Confident, careful van-driving skills
- Practical, hands-on ability; experience with events, installations, AV, removals, furniture, exhibitions or similar work is helpful
- Good customer-service and communication skills
- Reliability, punctuality and a professional appearance
- Confidence working independently and adapting when plans change
- Physical ability to move and set up event equipment safely, using team lifts and handling aids where required
- Availability for a mixture of daytime, evening, overnight and weekend shifts
Pay and benefits
- £15.50 per hour during training
- £16.50 per hour once successfully trained and signed off
- Paid travel and working time from the depot, in accordance with company arrangements

The role is offered on a zero-hours basis, so hours are not guaranteed and will vary according to event bookings. It can suit someone seeking flexible work, but we particularly value candidates who can regularly accept early-morning, evening and weekend assignments.
